PROJECT IN PRACTICE
A speleological club needs a public presence and practical tools for members managing equipment, trips and archives.
A public website plus a role-based member workspace, with shared records backed by Supabase.
Members and organisers work with the same records, while editorial, equipment and archive responsibilities have their own access.
My role: design and development of the application and its data workflows.
TWO AUDIENCES. ONE PLATFORM.
A catalogue, loan requests, equipment issue and returns. Members and equipment managers have different tools for their responsibilities.
A member submits a record with attachments. An archivist reviews the documentation, requests changes or approves the submission.
Schedules, sign-ups and a trip archive connect preparation and activity records in one place.
Article submissions, editorial publishing and galleries, plus exports of archive records and attachments for further use.
A WORKFLOW FROM THE PROJECT
A form is only the starting point. The workflow connects the person submitting data, the person reviewing it and the way those records are used afterwards.
Record, coordinates and attachments
Approval or a request for changes
Archive and documentation exports
This approach can be adapted to tool inventories, field reports, event registrations or internal requests. Roles, records and workflows are shaped around the organisation using them.
A DISTINCT PRODUCT IN A SHARED ECOSYSTEM
SOV Web handles the public experience and member operations. The separately developed Android application adds maps, GPS, terrain and field documentation.
